November 2018 – Alaina Atnip marching in the 2018 Bass Pro Shop Christmas Parade with her Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC).  The ROTC program emphasizes skills for life: In a junior ROTC class, students can build soft skills such as leadership, self-confidence and discipline – qualities that are necessary to thrive in any career. The program was originally created as part of the National Defense Act of 1916 and later expanded under the 1964, ROTC Vitalization Act.
